Balasubramani Ganesh - MTSI President

Ganesh Balasubramani is the president of Brea, California-based MTSI, Inc. where he is responsible for measurable revenue and profit growth of the company. He develops the vision and leads the Company's strategy and planning. He takes personal interest in the management of the largest asset of the company - its Human Capital that includes employees and independent consultants.

Balasubramani has more than 25 years of IT software and hardware solution sales and implementation expertise in top-tier (SAP/Oracle) and mid-tier (MAPICS, M2M, BaaN) ERP environments; a broad knowledge of complex business solutions project management, and extensive hands-on capability in business process re-engineering and public sector supply chain logistics functionality and optimization.

Prior to MTSI Inc., Balasubramani was a senior associate for Los Angeles, California-based DKM, Inc. from 1993-997. His responsibilities included project management of client/server implementation of the Company's MAPICS Reseller projects that exceeded new account sales quota by 60%. In 1996, he initiated several major new accounts in the automotive and heavy equipment, aerospace, manufacturing, and electronics industries.

From 1985 to 1993, he worked for IMO Industries (an Aerospace component manufacturer, formally Transamerica Delaval), where he was the operations director reporting to the president of the Company when he left in 1993. Balasubramani was instrumental in developing and implementing Lean Manufacturing in the office and the shop floor to improve performance of the organization. Raytheon recognized this division as the Best Supplier out of 3000 candidates in 1992.

Born and educated in India, Balasubramani earned an M.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1985. He also earned his post-graduate in Management Studies at Staff College in BEML in 1980; his post-graduate in technical studies from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, in 1979 he received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with honors in India.

Professional credentials include: Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), where he has been an active member of APICS and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).

Balasubramani is an active volunteer in local school fund raisers. He also volunteers as a referee/coach at American Youth Soccer (AYSO), Diamond Bar, California. In addition, he volunteers at North South Foundation (a non-profit organization) to support their annual spelling and math bee contests.


Ken Hansen, sales and marketing vice president of MTSI, an Oracle partner

Ken Hansen - MTSI Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Ken Hansen joined MTSI in 1997 as vice president of sales and marketing. His responsibilities include new business development through service and project sales, management of the existing sales staff, including mentoring through the complete sales cycle process and closing support negotiations. He is also responsible for building new and existing client-partner relationships and staffing MTSI resources for client requirements.

As an officer of the company, Hansen is involved in executive management regarding strategic decisions regarding the direction of MTSI.

Prior to joining MTSI, from 1988-1991, Hansen was the purchasing director for Cambro Plastics, where he managed ten agents and was responsible for $10M in annual procurement expenditures.

From 1982-1988, Hansen worked for Torrance, California-based Hughes OffShore as the purchasing manager. His responsibilities included managing the purchase and distribution of offshore drilling equipment for the world-wide oil company.

Significant accomplishments include: outstanding management leadership and management of the contract negotiation and signing of the Siebel-MTSI partnership on the West coast, as well as oversight of eight significant MTSI merger contracts. Hansen has also earned the coveted industry CMPT certification (which requires multi-level sales cycle certification in all phases of sales cycle project management).

Listed among significant personal accomplishment, Hansen made a significant impact on a 75-year-old resident-owned park in Southern California. Through his efforts in founding the Seal Beach Trailer Park Association, he helped raise $7.4M during 1999-2000, and politically maneuvering the four-year land purchase negotiations on behalf of the residents, who now own their own property.

Hansen earned a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from the Universiy of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
